Healthy Choice Recipes

  1. Substitute traditional chocolate-covered strawberries this Valentine's Day with these equally delicious, yet healthy and lower calorie chocolate-mousse filled treats!

     

    Ingredients:

    1 pound strawberries 1 large avacado 1/4 cup coconut milk 3 Tbsp cocoa 3 Tbsp honey 1/2 tsp cinnamon pinch sea salt

    Instructions:

    Wash straberries and cut a cone-shaped holeinto the tops of each one (removing the stem). In a food processor or blender, blend the remaining ingredients until very smooth. Fill the strawberries with mousse using a piping

  3. In honor of February being American Heart Month, the national Consortium for Building Healthy Academic Communities is challenging you to join the Million Hearts initiative and help prevent 1 million heart attacks and strokes by 2017.

    During the month of February, you can participate in the BHAC National Challenge by educating your students and fellow faculty and staff on the ABCSs of cardiovascular disease. To do so, visit go.osu.edu/millionhearts and select the BHAC Million Hearts Challenge. You'll complete an online
